Expansion of the Tiefenbach Group with the acquisition of EXPROTEC

Tiefenbach Control Systems GmbH (“TCS”) acquired EXPROTEC Sp. z o.o. (“Exprotec”) based in Tychy, Poland, on February 8, 2024.

EXPROTEC is a designer and manufacturer of specialised electrical equipment and systems for use in dangerous and explosion-prone environments, e.g. the mining and chemical industries. With a workforce of c. 60 employees at its headquarters in Tychy, Poland, the company serves clients both domestically and around the world.
The acquisition of Exprotec by TCS will enable both companies to benefit from considerable synergies in the development of electrical systems and components, as well as optimise design and manufacturing resources across the production sites of both companies.
In addition, Exprotec will be able to leverage the substantial global sales footprint offered by TCS. Both companies will be able to offer a larger complementary product portfolio to a larger addressable market.
With the acquisition of Exprotec, the TCS group has expanded its existing mining product range and is now in a position to offer all components for electrical power supply, automation and visualisation in underground mining.
