Water-hydraulic components

The advantages of water hydraulics – fire resistance and biodegradability – have been used in the mining industry for quite a long time.

In the heavy industry, too, where enormous heat often develops during the work processes the HFA medium lends itself for being used as hydraulic fluid. The big foundry of an automotive supplier, for example, changed from oil hydraulics to water hydraulics made by Tiefenbach, not least because of the fire hazard.

This change included both the hydraulics for moving the boxes in the moulding plants and the drive technology for the tilting furnace. Essential components of the installation such as e.g. cylinders and pipelines could be retained.

Check valves

Check valves

Check valves permit flow in one direction, only, and block flow in the opposite direction without any leakage via a cone. On the "pilot-operated" type the blocking function can be deactivated by a separate control pressure. Our[...]

Our corrosion-resistant check valves are availabie in a variety of norminal sizes and designs:
- In-line check valves
- One-way restrictors

Pressure relief valves

Pressure relief valves

The pressure relief valves limit the pressure in a hydraulic system. Our corrosion-resistant pressure relief valves are available in different nominal sizes and with setting pressures of up to 600 bar.

Pressure reducing valves

Pressure reducing valves

The pressure reducing valves keep the outlet pressure constant. Our corrosion-resistant pressure reducing valves are available in different nominal sizes and with operating pressures of up to 450 bar.

Flow control valves

Flow control valves

The flow control valves are used for regulating the volume flows. Our corrosion-resistant flow control valves are available in different nominal sizes and with operating pressures of up to 350 bar.

Flip-flop valves

Flip-flop valves

The flip-flop valves are stop valves with two inlets and one outlet. The pressurized inlet is automatically connected with the joint outlet. In this configuration the other inlet is closed. Our corrosion-resistant flip-flop valves are[...]

The pilot control valves are 2/2-way or 3/2-way valves. They are primarily designed for operating larger valves.

A flanged-on solenoid converts electrical energy into mechanical energy via a magnetic coil with plunger which, in turn, actuates the directional control valves. Hydraulic control systems can thus be actuated indirectly electrically, hydraulically, pneumatically, or mechanically.

Proportional valves

Proportional valves

Proportional valves belong to the group of consistent control valves. Unlike discrete valves their valve opening can be controlled variably. They thus offer the possibility to dynamically control volume flows and pressures and to adapt them[...]
