Offshore/Industry

Fluid Management

Descaling
When producing and processing iron-containing metals scaling is inevitable. Especially at high temperatures the iron reacts with the oxygen in the air which results in the formation of iron oxide.
This socalled scale seriously impairs the appearance and the properties of the product. It is therefore essential to remove these contaminants from the system when manufacturing high-quality products. Tiefenbach Control Systems offers the components suitable for this task.
High-pressure filters
Our high-pressure filters have been especially developed for descaling plants. They have the task of retaining dirt particles such as e.g. welding beads after pipe repairs in order to avoid plugging of the nozzles. We can also equip large systems without any problems as we have filters with flow rates of up to 7000l/min on offer.
Offshore
The rough conditions encountered in the operation of offshore plants put particular demands on the products used.
Especially the extremely salty environment causes metals to corrode within a very short time. Tiefenbach Control System counters these effects with products made of high-grade stainless steel. These materials have proved to be extremely robust and hard-wearing thus ensuring „zero leakage“ of our products. Our products are approved for the international market according to ATEX, CSA, and UL.
Waterhydraulic components
The advantages of water hydraulics – fire resistance and biodegradability – have been used in the mining industry for quite a long time.
In the heavy industry, too, where enormous heat often develops during the work processes the HFA medium lends itself for being used as hydraulic fluid. The big foundry of an automotive supplier, for example, changed from oil hydraulics to water hydraulics made by Tiefenbach, not least because of the fire hazard.
This change included both the hydraulics for moving the boxes in the moulding plants and the drive technology for the tilting furnace. Essential components of the installation such as e.g. cylinders and pipelines could be retained.
