Split-type

While the direct-activated control system has the pilot valves flanged directly to the main control block the split-type variant has the pilot control unit separated from the main block. The activation is effected via a so-called „multihose“. Thanks to this feature not all hydraulic lines need to be routed into the adjacent shield separately. This allows a flexible and uncomplicated operation especially on high shields.
