The power supply unit includes a module that generates a 12VDC output voltage, containing all necessary components for converting the primary voltage into an intrinsically safe output. The output is short-circuit proof, and the heat generated is efficiently dissipated through the module and the pressure-resistant casing.

To enable quick diagnosis in case of failure, the power unit can be equipped with a test switch, allowing disconnection of downstream devices after a ground fault.

The intrinsically safe circuit is routed through a pressure-resistant plug connector, and the connection to individual consumers is made via the well-proven SKK24 mining cable.
