World record in China with 8.80m shield support
Tiefenbach Control Systems GmbH won the tender for the delivery of an electro-hydraulic control system for the world’s largest shield support. In this connection Tiefenbach is responsible for the development, the design and the delivery of the entire electro-hydraulic control system as well as for the safety-related auxiliary valves. The order of the shield producer ZMJ (Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co. Ltd.) has a value of more than 2.3m €.
The shield support, with a height of 8.80 metre and a width of 2.40 metre, is going to be the world’s tallest ever built shield support and will go into action at Shenua-Group in China.
